Legal English“; she has passed the TOLES (Test of Legal English Skills)
– Advanced level – and has further specialized by attending: the
specialization course in English for Special Purposes (ESP), at the Libera
Università San Pio V of Rome; the II level Master degree in Linguistic and
Cultural Mediation at the Faculty of Political Science at “La Sapienza” University
of Rome; Courses for teachers abroad: Teaching Languages for Specific
Purposes at the Institute for Applied Language Studies at the
Edinburgh University, Teacher Development at the Dublin City

at the Institute for Applied Language Studies at the Edinburgh

She was
contract professor of English Language 1 and English Language 2 at the Faculty
of Law, “La Sapienza” University of Rome from 2001 to 2006; at
the moment: she is contract professor for Legal and Economic Translation at the
Specialization Degree in technical-scientific and literary translation and for
the modules of English 2 and English 3, English for Special Purposes, at
the three-year degree in Languages and Cultures of the Modern World, at the
Faculty of Arts, La Sapienza University
of Rome;
She taught technical-scientific,
legal and economic translation (English-Italian) at the II level Master degree
in Specialized Translation at the Faculty of Arts “La Sapienza”; she taught
as professor of English language - Translation II (technical/scientific field)
at the University of Udine, seat of Gorizia, Faculty of Foreign Languages and
Literature at the Degree Course for Translators and Interpreters; contract
professor of English Language at the Faculty of Medicine,
Degree Course for Therapist
of neuronal and psychomotor skill in developmental age.
She is member of the Italian
Association of Canadian Studies and of the “Eurolinguistica Sud” Association.
She takes part to the Scientific Committee of the magazine “Opinioni e
Confronti” on Economics and Law. She is the author of different titles about
post-colonial literature and translation, both in Italian and English, published
on specialized journals.
She is the author of “Wordbuster the language of Information Communication Technology”, published by La Sapienza, University of Rome, 2005 and of “English throughout the international relations, security, defence framework
– Percorso di approfondimento interculturale nel campo dell’inglese per le relazioni internazionali, la sicurezza, la difesa”, published by Europa2010, Rome, 2007. She is now working on an essay about legal English. She has recently published Medical English & The International Scientific Network. She is the director of the six-month online journal “Englishfor, la Rivista dell’Inglese per Scopi Speciali”, registered al the Tribunale di Roma under authorization N.162/08 dated 17/04/2008.
She has created and directs the series "Inglese per Scopi Speciali" published by Aracne.
